The diameter checker now rejects invalid measurements, handles scientific notation correctly and limits automated comparisons to current evidence.
All 19 automated size signals were checked against official sources. Port Coquitlam’s inclusive 5 m and 60 cm boundaries were corrected; Cambridge’s conflicting measuring-height guidance is now visible.
Richmond’s comparison now includes exactly 20 cm, following its current bulletin. Surrey’s listed-species tests and the published Mississauga and Markham review timings are clearer.

The field-guide layout now covers city guides, province directories, topics, articles and support pages. The homepage starts with city search.
Vancouver’s official sources and the three homepage comparison examples were rechecked. Other local evidence dates remain attached to their original facts.

Evidence dates kept separate
Source-route review is separated from fact verification. Inherited facts that were not independently reverified remain unresolved.
Brampton’s 2 m occupied-building exception and Kawartha Lakes’ private/boundary guidance were corrected. The checker preserves those local distinctions.

The checker uses city-specific scope. Numeric signals for Newmarket, Vaughan and Blainville were rechecked; public-tree-only sources are not presented as private-yard permits.
